Development:

24 AM Studios, founded by R. D. Raja, produced three films with Sivakarthikeyan, including Remo (2016), Velaikkaran (2017), and Seemaraja (2018). In 2016, they announced their fourth film, directed by R. Ravikumar, which would be made on a larger scale. Sivakarthikeyan starred in Velaikkaran and Seemaraja. They officially announced the film in 2018 under the tentative title SK14, with A. R. Rahman composing the music and Nirav Shah as the cinematographer.
In 2019, Raja and 24 AM Studios opted out due to financial constraints, but they revived the project in November and revealed the title in February 2020.

Casting:

Rakul Preet Singh was chosen as the female leading lady in February 2018, followed by Yogi Babu and Karunakaran in April. Bollywood actress Isha Koppikar, inspired by the Tomb Raider character Lara Croft, was chosen to play the lead role of Eliza. Marathi actor Sharad Kulkar made his Tamil debut as the enemy, with a “hungry for power and new technology” nature. Venkatesh Senguttuvan showed the alien using action capture, exposing a low getup with detectors for movement recording. Siddharth was chosen as the voice of the alien in December 2023 without charging any fees.

A. R. Rahman collaborated with Sivakarthikeyan and Ravikumar on a film, initially a “dream come true.” The project started in 2017 and completed three songs, including the opening. The film’s debut track, “Vera Level Sago,” released on February 17, 2021, followed by “Ayalaa Ayalaa” and “Suro Suro” on December 2023 and January 7, 2024, respectively.

Review:

Film content is a new phenomenon in Tamil. Comedy scenes with Sivakarthikeyan, Yogibabu, and Karunakaran performed well. People were clapping and laughing at the theater. The children particularly loved the movie.Adults can enjoy it as a one to watch.

People are pausing during the music because it’s quieter than usual. Some scenes give the impression of budgetary constraints. The alien’s recreation might need enhancement, as I didn’t find it appealing. The antagonist’s character is somewhat ambiguous and only appears in the final scene. This constitutes the main issue with this story.

Conclusion:

Ayalaan sets a new standard for the sci-fi genre by presenting stunning ideas, dazzling acting performances, and an engaging story. From beginning to end, it engrosses watchers in the universe of excitement and wonder, leaving an impression even after the credits end. Whether you’re a die-hard sci-fi enthusiast or just enjoy a good movie, Ayalaan is a must-watch. Take advantage of this film’s masterpiece in cinema – grab your popcorn and prepare for a memorable journey into the uncharted!
